It’s monthly DIY challenge time!! This month’s challenge item is a plain while pillow case. I mentioned that my 7 year old, Sophia, hoards books and stuffed animals when I showed you how to DIY book ledges during last month’s DIY challenge. This month I’m showing you how I organized them and created the easiest ever stuffed animal storage solution!! The best part? It’s SO EASY. Like, really I’m kind of embarrassed that I’m sharing something so simple. But also sort of felling like, why didn’t I think of this sooner? That’s why the challenges are so much fun! We pick items then we figure out what we can do with it.

I bought 2 things for this little stuffed animal organizing project: a LARGE white pillowcase and a quilting hoop. Plus a piece of rope or string.
The pillowcase I bought was 2/$10 on Amazon and they are King Size 20″x40″, so nice and big! I also bought a 14″ Quilting Hoop
Are you ready for this? First, unscrew your quilting hoop and put the inner ring inside your pillowcase opening down to where the hem is, usually a couple inches. Now take the outer ring of your hoop and put it on the outside of your pillowcase and tighten the screw. Tie a string or rope around the metal latch of the hoop. Now fold your extra fabric of the hoop and you’re done!
Stuffed Animal Storage
Before I made this little stuffed animal storage “bag” the animals were everywhere. On the bed, on the floor, in the closet, and on and on. We put her less frequently played with animals in the pillowcase bag. Then we left the more frequently played with animals on her bed and in a storage bucket in her closet.
How do you store your kiddos’ stuffed animals? I’ve seen a few stuffed animals storage solutions on Pinterest, but they were all a little more involved than I wanted to get. This was the perfect solution for us! Hope it helps you too!!

This is genius my friend!
This is such a good idea! I’m glad you shared it, even if it’s easy, because I wouldn’t have thought of it on my own.
This is brilliant! What a great way to keep them accessible but outta sight. Love the wild cats peeking out from the top, too 😉
