Hey Hey! I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas with loved ones. We truly enjoyed ourselves so much this year. It has been a really long, sometimes difficult year, so we are ready for 2017 and all of the hope a new year brings. We’re having a little New Year’s Eve party with a few friends this year so we are in party planning mode now. Last year I made this video showing you how to make these adorable New Year’s party confetti poppers but I never got around to posting about them here on the blog.
You can buy these in the store but if you are having a lot of guests they can get pretty pricey. We just saved our toilet paper rolls for a week or two before sitting down to make these. I even used left over Christmas wrapping supplies to make these confetti poppers even cheaper.
Supplies you will need:
toilet paper rolls
cardboard circles
wrapping paper
confetti (I made my own but you can get store bought super cheap!)
Paper straws (regular straws would work too)
How to Make Party Confetti Poppers
The video tutorial is self explanatory but I didn’t label everything so I thought I’d explain a little. First you’ll cover your toilet paper rolls with wrapping paper. Make it festive!!
Then you’ll put a little glue around one end of the toilet paper roll and stick a tissue paper square to it. Then take one of your cardboard circles and punch a hole in the center, poke a straw through then hot glue around the hole on both sides. Let that dry a few seconds while you add your confetti inside the party popper. Once the glue is dry insert your straw into the party popper. When you’re ready to party just push it forcefully through the top and your confetti will fly.
