I was given free product to try out for this post but as usual all opinions are my own and I only share things I truly find helpful and useful. You can read my full disclosure policy here.
I know, that title seems really boring huh? I’m kind of a weirdo and I love organization stuff so bare with me and I think you’ll be inspired too!! Y’all saw my craft room, right?!! I double heart love it and have really enjoyed spending whole days in here since my kiddos went back to school.
However, the problem I’ve had is with storage. Our house was built in the 1950’s and just doesn’t have a lot of storage space. We don’t have a basement (only a crawl space) or a garage. I know, cry me a river. All that to say I have to get creative with my storage options and I have to be super diligent to keep all of my family’s “stuff” to a minimum. I know I’m not the only person with this problem. And as we’ve discussed here before, craft supplies and DIY supplies seem to multiply over night!!
Well I think I have found a pretty awesome solution! I found these ornament boxes from Ultimate Christmas Storage with customizable inserts last Christmas and they are working amazingly well for my hardware and random craft supply storage. The little dividers can be arranged and moved around to offer customizable boxes. There are also 3 or 4 different size boxes to choose from and the boxes themselves are a very neutral color and can be labeled however you want.
This has made a huge difference in my time management. Before I did all of this organizing I would spend half an hour before projects digging for all of the supplies I need. Not a good way to start a project, very frustrating. Now I know exactly where everything is, it’s easy to get to and get started. I’d love to use my Cricut to add labels to each box but I haven’t found the perfect way to do that just yet.
I just sit the boxes right under my desk in the middle there (sorry I didn’t get a picture of that but I have an update for this room coming later this week and I’ll show you then!!)
What organizational finds are you using? Do you “think outside of the box” when it comes to organizing?
