Hey Hey party people! I hope your week so far has been super awesome. As usual I’ve been busy juggling lots of different things. I’m enjoying cooler temps here in good old Charley West! Naturally, that made me want to go outside and spray paint something.
Yesterday I was sitting in the living room and my eyes landed on one of my 4 year old daughter’s plastic chairs. It was UGLY! We bought it for $1 on clearance at Lowe’s. I was so eager to get a coat of white spray paint on it I didn’t even take time to get a before picture. It was a pinky-mauve color before though. You can kind of see it here as my first coat of spray paint went on. I gave it a light sanding too just so the paint would have something to stick to.
I used Rustoleum Universal that I had on hand from a previous project. After I hit it with a few light coats of spraypaint I used a gold acrylic paint to give the legs a dipped look.
This chair is rockin’ now! I want one for myself 😉 My daughter loves it too, so I call this a win. And it was a totally free makeover since I had all of the items on hand already. Can’t beat that, can ya?
Are you enjoying cooler temps where you are? Does it make you want to head outdoors for some DIY fun?
Cute! It’s crazy how much better something can look with a coat of fresh paint and a little interesting detail. Nice job!
Thanks Sarah! Yes, spray paint is miraculous!
