Hey Hey! I absolutely adore Fall. I know everyone says that. But I REALLLLY truly , madly deeply love this gorgeous season. I grew up in Louisiana so I never knew Fall could be so wonderful. Even though I double heart love Louisiana, you have one season. HOT. So of course, when we first visited West Virginia on vacation in 2002 I was completely smitten with the amazing colors of the leaves, the crisp air and the smell of chimney smoke. It’s MAGICAL. Just one short month after that first visit to West Virginia, Joel and I decided to move from the only home we’ve ever known in Southern Louisiana to Charleston, West Virginia. 14 years later I’m still completely smitten with Fall in this gorgeous state we call home.
I thought I’d share some pictures of this place I’ve fallen in love with. I also wanted to share a long bucket list of my favorite Fall Bucket List items. Time is still time and it moves at the same pace even in this gorgeous Autumn weather. With that said, I don’t always get in all of these but I try hard to pack as much fun into my favorite season as possible. You can access the printable version of the fall bucket list. You can also pin this graphic on Pinterest to share with your friends and family, and so you can find it easily later on.
The below photos will show you exactly why I love Fall so much in these West Virginia mountains!
Nelson Rocks – Pendleton County, West Virginia
St. Peter’s Catholic Church – Harper’s Ferry, West Virginia
Grist Mill – Babcock State Park, WV
I truly hope you enjoy your Fall as much as I do!! How many of these Fall Buck List items do you already do? Which ones are your favorite? Have you ever been to West Virginia?
I have been to WV and it’s gorgeous. Fall is pretty amazing in Ohio too, but much too short! We have a ton of farms nearby and do lots of hay rides and pumpkin picking. My fall bucket list looks a lot like yours!
So fun! We should get together this Fall!!!
Lived there for 8 years what a beautiful place to live or visit the leaves and streams and breathtaking views
