Hey Hey! I’ve got more Spring goodness for y’all today! Meet Kendra from Joy In Our Home. I know you’re going to love her Spring Centerpieces!
Happy Monday Houseologie readers!
I am so happy to be here guest posting for Leigh Anne today! My name is Kendra and I blog at Joy In Our Home…. if you’ve never visited my blog, I’d love for you to pop over and say hi! I blog about all things home… décor, our home upgrades, recipes and more!
Does it feel like spring in your corner of the world? I’m from the great north and after 4-5 months of winter, our snow is all gone and it feels like spring! I want to share a quick and easy spring centerpiece with you today… it would be perfect for Easter or just to bring some cheer and blooms to any spot in your home!
I love how these turned out… so cheerful and springy.
- jars of your choice
- scrapbook paper
- real or faux flowers (I bought mine at Michaels. Their spring line is 50% off this week
- washi tape (or ribbon. I used ribbon as I must have the world’s biggest collection from when I made little girl hair clips and accessories.)
- glue gun or tape
The first thing I did was cut my paper. Using a paper cutter, cut a strip to go around your jars. (You can do it as wide or as thin as you want). If you’ve followed my blog for a while, you might notice I used my mason jars from my Fall Mason Jar Candle Holders. I was looking at them the other day thinking I totally need to use them for my everyday décor instead of packing them away till fall! So, when I thought of making these, I figured they’d be perfect for these centerpieces! Next, using a hot glue gun, I glued my strip of ribbon onto my paper. Of course, if you’re using washi tape, you can omit this step as the tape is an adheisive. Using a tiny piece of tape, I then attached the strip of paper to the jars. Fill them with your flowers and add some water (even if they’re faux flowers, I add water!) and ta-da! You have the world’s easiest (and totally pretty) centerpiece!
I love the different textures and flowers in these bunches! You could go with any color scheme you’d like though… I had a hard time choosing between yellow or purple for my paper and flowers! Glad I chose purple as it’s not a color I am drawn to much!
I had fun placing these pretty flowers in lots of different spots around our home! Here they are nestled up to some old books on our fireplace mantle.
I’d love for you to stop by and check out some of my posts… here are a few of my favorites:
I recently shared my Dollar Store and Thrift Store Spring Vignette! Decorating your home beautifully doesn’t have to break the bank! Come on over and see how my thrifty finds!
This Party Popcorn was a huge hit at our last party! It’ll definitely be a recipe we repeat over and over! And the best part? It takes about 10 minutes to make…. and even less time to gobble up!
And I’m soo excited to show you My New DIY Coffee Table! My husband recently built it for my birthday and I love how it turned out!
Those are just a few of my latest creations… hope to see you over on my blog! Thanks again Leighanne, for having me today! Hope ya’ll have a wonderful week! -Kendra
I love your pretty spring centerpieces! That’s a great tip to add water with fake flowers too. I never would have thought of that but I bet it helps make them look real!
Thanks Amy! xo
