Hey Hey!! As you can probably tell Michael’s is one of my favorite stores! I recently found these Heidi Swapp DIY Marquee Kits on sale for 40% off and I had a 20% off my entire purchase coupon so I went ahead and bought 4 letters at $5.20 each, sweet deal!
They are so easy to personalize and put together. Mine aren’t hung yet because they are going in the laundry room and it’s not finished!! I’ve had a few setbacks but I’m barreling through and will have an update next week that I’m super excited about it!
Anyway, here is the low down on my marquee letters!
I bought this Scapbook paper at Michael’s when I picked up my letters. I just traced the template onto the back with a pencil, cut it out and then fit it into each letter. I love the herringbone + Black & white! After that was done I created a hole through the paper into each letter hole already there, this made it easier to push the plastic bulb covers through the front that came with the kit.
Once those were all in I turned the letter over and followed the instructions for putting in the string lights. It’s SO EASY and SO FAST! Less that 10 minutes per letter, start to finish. The batter pack solves the dangling cord that you have to plug in on most DIY Marquee letters. It just tucks right into the back of the letter.
Have you DIY’d any Marquee Letters? Is this the easiest way you’ve seen to do it?
