Hey there! It’s ALMOST Friday! I’m pretty excited about the weekend. I’ve had a couple of sick kiddos and a sick hubby this week which means not a lot of sleep. But, I’ve still been working on some fun Fall decor that I’m exited to share with you.
I made this Fall Sunburst Wreath this week:
This wreath is almost 3 ft. wide, which I didn’t mean to do but I love the high impact. It wouldn’t quite fit on our front door so I made a smaller version for the front door. This one will hang on a 2nd entrance to our house which is also on our front porch. This is a pretty easy wreath to make.
I used a scrap piece of plywood for the back, I traced a circle on it in order to keep everything even. Then I just started hot gluing the wood shims onto the circle, into a sunburst pattern. Super easy! Then I used some florals from Michael’s, including orange wheat. I hot glued those in place as well.
For the paper cones I cut scrapbook paper into 4 inch squares.
I used 2 different paper prints, and put the 2 squares with the white backs facing each other. Then rolled them up and hot glued them so they would stay. I couldn’t quite get a good picture of this but you can find a tutorial here. Once I had them all rolled I used gold thumbtacks to attach them to wreath. They add a nice little touch, I think.
I haven’t finished the little area on the porch I plan to hang it yet, but I’ll be sharing it early next week. Have you made any wreaths for Fall yet? Do you use the same one every year?
