Hey Y’all! It’s FRIIIIIDAAAAY!!! Got anything fun planned for the weekend? We’re going to King’s Island for one last Summer hurrah before school starts on the 10th. I know, back to school already? Yup. It’s been on my brain for a couple of weeks now so I wanted to share this bulletin board that I made last year to keep us somewhat organized. I also made some bulletin board accessories to match!
It was all pretty simple. I had a leftover crib piece that I’ve been hanging on to because I knew it could be something special. I used a hand saw to cut off the legs since they looked odd. I used wood filler to fill in all of the holes. Sanded those down and spray painted the whole thing white. Then I added cork board on one side and plexiglass on the other side, to use as a dry erase board. Here you can see the full tutorial for the Bulletin Board.
Then I decided to make these adorable matching accessories. I really love a little quick and easy project that uses minimal supplies. Sometimes that’s all I’ve got in me and the easy results drive me to want to do more projects. So here’s what I used to make the accessories.

I hot glued the tacks to the back of the wood slices and hot glued strips of scrapbook paper onto the clothespins. It was literally THAT easy! I think if you’re looking for an easy way to get organized for back to school, a command center like this is the best way. You can stick papers on it, right down homework or chores. It’s just so simple but those are the things that usually work.
Hang it in a place that is central in your house or make one for each of the kiddos’ bedrooms! Good luck back to school shopping and don’t party too hard once the kids are back at school 😉
Leigh Anne! These are awesome! And I’m too tired these days for complicated DIYS so this I can especially appreciate.
