Hope you had a fantastic Thanksgiving!! We sure did. You know what though? Now it’s all Christmas, all the time 😉 Today I wanted to share an easy and affordable Teacher Christmas gift with you plus a few of my friend’s gift teacher gift ideas too! This year my theme for Christmas is SIMPLIFY. I want to enjoy the holidays and not get too wrapped up in making things magazine perfect. That’s not my life. Not by a long shot!! This Teacher Gift is totally do=able for ANYONE!
I made this Winter Survival Kit in a Cork Wine tube for my son’s amazing 5th grade teacher.
Seriously, she’s awesome. I used a Cork Wine Tube that I found at Michael’s on clearance for $0.99. I’m sure teaching a room full of 5th graders makes her want to drink, unfortunately I don’t think that would be an appropriate gift. My theme this year is definitely SIMPLIFY. I don’t like to get caught up in making things perfect and spending loads of cash.
For this teacher gift, I printed this freebie “Baby, It’s Cold Outside” print and taped it to the front of the tube and added a gift tag. Inside I added lots of Winter necessities like hot cocoa, cute socks, chapstick, lotion and hand sanitizer.
Remember my theme: Simplify. Nailed it, right? So easy but still thoughtful and fun. Plus, it was under $20! She could even keep this is her car in case she forgets any of these items at home on a cold morning before school.
I also stenciled two mugs for her (so she can drink her hot cocoa with a friend! Teachers NEED friends!!) and stuck those in the basket. I will have a tutorial for those later next week.
My son really likes to give his teacher a gift. My 5 year old daughter is in PreK so we haven’t quite started yet but will definitely be doing something for her two teachers.
However, my 12 year old daughter is in middle school and has 8 teachers!! What do you suggest for gifts when you have that many to buy for?
Ok now it’s GIVEAWAY time!  This is a big one!!  One lucky winner will win a $100 Visa Gift Card so please use all of your entries and share these simple gift ideas with your friends on social media 🙂
What a great idea! I need a survival kit and I’m not even a teacher!
Ha, me too! Thanks for stopping by!
This is such a pretty gift and your kids teacher are lucky! I can’t believe you stenciled those mugs…they are PERFECT!
Thanks Deonna, the mugs were so fun to work on!

Wow! I wouldn’t have guessed you could put that together for less than $20! That’s amazing.
Thanks! The Dollar Tree has some great finds if you sift through all of the not-so-great stuff!
