Hey Hey! Today I’m back to share the color on the Laundry + Craft Room ceiling and how I painted it without getting a stiff neck or making a huge mess.
The color is Belle Grove Sorbet by Valspar and I DOUBLE HEART LOVE IT! It’s hard to get a good picture of the actual color though! I’m a little color adverse. I like my black, white, greys and neutrals so I was a little scared going into this. But, I knew I wanted a little fun in my Laundry + Craft room so I decided to go for it! I’m so glad I did!
I know painting a ceiling can literally be a pain in the neck but my friends at HomeRight have solved the problem. They created a paint stick that is SO EASY to use, and makes the daunting task almost pleasurable. And fast. I had 2 coats of flat paint on this ceiling in no time. Including drying time it was only about an hour.
I didn’t even cover the floors to protect them. The HomeRight Paintstick E-Z Twist has a really cool splatter guard and since you don’t have to use a tray, there’s pretty much no mess to clean up.
After I was done, I just used warm water and a mild dish soap to clean out the pieces. This paintstick really was a life saver. I wasn’t feeling so great and my 5 year old had a a fever but I knew I needed to get this room painted. Thanks to an awesome tool, it was a painless process!
I can’t wait to show y’all more of this room next week! I’m progressing slowly, but surely! Be sure to follow me on Pinterest & Instagram to get some sneak peeks and seem where my inspiration comes from!
