Hey there sweet friends! It’s a lovely Fall day here. Every season has it’s beauty but Fall is just so glorious. Rich colors, fog, stillness, crisp air. I enjoy bringing as much of those outdoor things into my home as I can. I recently gave my 6 year old daughter’s bedroom a makeover. She absolutely adores animals and nature. She has two cats and an English Angora bunny that she loves so much. You can often find her outside looking for favorite rocks or leaves. This is just her thing. Here she is with our friends sweet puppy, Alice.

When it came time to decorate her room I knew I wanted the things she loves to be the focal point. I started by adding fabric to the wall called Lyrical Forest. I just thought this fit her so well. All of the animals are so cute and she loves laying “upside down” in her bed to gaze at all of them. There are a lot of birds on the fabric so I thought the addition of two feather prints from Graham & Brown would be the perfect addition to her room. Wall Art is a great way to bring pieces of nature into a room. I hung them to the right of her windows and she loves them.
We’d like to pick out a color to paint her bed from the prints that represents the “horizon”. The beautiful separation of Earth and Sky where you see the lovely colors of the sunrise or sunset. We’re looking at some light pinks and purples. Something very subtle to add just a touch of color from nature to this neutral bedroom. This room already embraces Mother Nature but it needs just a little touch of fun! These are a few of the colors we’ve been looking at.
Which one is your favorite? Any other suggestions? Do you have any rooms that embrace Mother Nature already? How would you bring new ‘Horizons’ into your interior design plans?
Wow this is beautiful! I love all the gold.
